What Might Israelis and Jews Learn about Christians and Christianity at Yad Vashem?
This chapter discusses the lessons that Israelis and Jews can learn about Christians and Christianity at the Yad Vashem museum in Jerusalem. This museum is considered as one of the most important places for the formation of Jewish identity in Israel today, and as such it is also formative for the Jewish encounter with Christians and Christianity. In 2005, the museum has shifted its focus from displaying the sufferings of the Jews to presenting individual experiences through the testimonies of survivors alongside the documentation and display of artifacts and personal possessions.
