On Love

Rushmir Mahmutćehajić

Fordham University Press

Through the totality of creation God made real His names, which were all undivided in hiddenness. Through the creation, every name acquired a phenomenon. Thus, the sign or phenomenon reveals that name to openness, but at the same time keeps it there—in the Hidden Treasure. All the worlds disclose God and thus manifest His love. In them all His names are revealed, divided, and scattered. Every phenomenon or sign carries and represents one of His names. Since the totality of existence is a whole, which embraces all His names, and since no single phenomenon can do that, the worlds are indeterminable and inconstant. Encompassing all the names, man is capable of the knowledge that God loves. Thus, the worlds are the integral form, or transcription, of Divine oneness. Man is what makes real God's love of knowledge. The relationship of the self and the other is always the confirmation of borders or limits, while fullness is outside.
