Is Nothing Sacred?

Don Cupitt

Fordham University Press

This chapter discusses the author's career, writings, and teachings on the philosophy of religion and it explains how he has come to think that none of the religious traditions can survive as they stand. The author divulges himself as being a post-dogmatic believer because for him none of the old dogmas are true anymore. The author thinks that there is only one world which is the human life-world and he asserts that individual human beings could be much better and happier than they now are. Having been defined as a radical Christian, the author has viewed radical Christianity as a form of radical humanism in which eternal happiness can be found and can be completely given to our world which for its part can be given to us.
