This chapter provides an insight on image. It explains how a person must modestly recognize that an image constitutes the element of duration and that often it possesses more testimony and thought than the witness who looks at it. An image testifies and thinks before, during, and after the witness. This chapter points out that the thought of an image is the essence of all that is transmissible from its beginning, ranging from its substantive duration to its testimony to the history which it has experienced. It also talks about the totalizing univocity of genus and species, in which, before judgment and argument, thought is the virtuality that is immanent to the terminological figure.
