Power of Gentleness

Anne Dufourmantelle

, Katherine Payne, Vincent Sallé
Fordham University Press

We shouldn’t pay too much attention to things, only contemplate them in their essential imbalance from time to time; then, gently, they reveal a secret. Nature holds all things in memory, and yet it is an absolute present, translucent, letting through everything it does not reflect. Gentleness has an astonishing connection to thought. Gentleness is calm. Anxiety comes into the body when gentleness abandons it.
