This chapter presents the position of Alfred North Whitehead on whether God is the creator of the universe or not. God does play an indispensable role in this world system. God is a source of the eternal object. He provides the ideal goal of each newly arising actual occasion. Moreover, He guides the universe toward the greatest possible realizable value. Finally, He preserves the objectified values achieved by the successively perishing actual entities.
