Abstract

The impact of Derrida’s work in the U.S. and continental Europe—principally in the disciplines of philosophy, English, French, Comparative Literature, gender and queer studies and postcolonial studies—has been studied at length, but the significance of his writing for Hispanism has been, until now, overlooked.
